Rifugio Pratizzano is at 1250m on a hiking trail to Monte Ventasso. It is a privately run concern and offers hotel style rooms and excellent tortelli as part of evening meal included in the price ( around 50 euro a night). The Rifugio is popular during the winter as the surrounding area is suitable for cross country skiing, the Rifugio regularly organizes snowshoeing excursions and it is popular with families for sledging.
