Heritage Park

Here's another hidden treasure in San Diego. Heritage Park is located in Old Town San Diego. It's a row of Victorian buildings built in the 1880's, mainly houses and one synagogue. The best part? It's absolutely FREE to walk through! It's a great place to take a leisurely stroll because the houses are painted in refreshingly vibrant colors. It's also a must-see for architecture and/or history buffs, as well as photographers/photography aficionados. Apart from just appreciating and learning about the buildings, there's a place to enjoy some tea and scones at the end of the row. The cost for that is about $12. Plus! There's also a short trail (also toward the end of the row) somewhere on the right side of the Christian House. There's a bench at the top where you can enjoy a nice view. Highly recommended for those who appreciate off the beaten path types of destinations. Parking is free around Old Town on side streets and lots, but it can get pretty crazy on the weekends, so just be prepared for that if you go then.
