Cranberry Bog at Patriot Place

Walk through a cranberry bog, learn about the process of growing and harvesting cranberries and get some exercise. Granted, this cranberry bog is made for tourists, but it's also incredibly informative. It's also a nice escape from the parking lots and cars of city life. Located just behind the Bass Pro Shop at Patriot Place it's actually easier to walk through the store to get to the bog than to try and skirt around the store (that's how big the store is). The bog is open year round- from dawn until dusk. It's about a half-mile walk and you can bring your dog along (just be sure to pick up after them). A simple, yet beautiful walk that is a great place for getting out and enjoying the fresh air, or for letting kids (or dogs) with pent up energy run around and use it all up.
